What is included in the rent?

The Gates at Rexburg’s rent makes life easy. Included in rent is: utilities (water, sewer, electric, trash pickup), premium DISH, Wireless Optix internet, washer & dryer, A/C, access to all of The Gates amenities, and a wonderful staff that is there to help at any time that you need them.

When is my rent due?

Rent is due the first of the month when your contract starts. If you will be needing a payment plan please contact management or indicate on your application that you will need one.

How do I pay my rent?

Rent can be paid online through your resident portal with E-check – Free of charge! Click here to log in.

What are the details of parking at The Gates?

Parking is an additional fee of $100 per semester.

Do you allow pets?

Per BYU-Idaho Approved Housing Guidelines, no pets of any kind are allowed at The Gates. Service animals are welcome with valid Doctor’s note and a 30-day notice before an animal’s arrival.

What if I need maintenance?

We have a full-time maintenance staff that is prompt in maintaining the property. Through your online resident portal, you can fill out a maintenance request form at any time.

What do I need to bring to my apartment?

We suggest that you bring:
Bedding
Mattress Protector- required by Housing and Student Living office
Toiletries
Dishes/Cookware
Extra Appliances (toaster, blender, etc.)
Decorations to make your new room feel like home!

How are roommates picked and when do students get these results?

You are able to lease with your roommates if you prefer. If you would like to just lease a bedroom, we would have you fill out our Roommate Matching Survey and match you with roommates!

Where can I send mail to my son or daughter?

Do I need rental insurance for my personal belongings?

We don’t require each resident to purchase renter’s insurance but we do recommended it.

When will I know if I am assigned an apartment?

Your leasing agent will contact you once you are assigned to an apartment!

Can I see an apartment prior to moving in?

Absolutely! Just contact the leasing office to get a tour scheduled!

Who do I contact if I lock myself out of my apartment?

During office hours you are welcome to stop by the office to pick up a spare key! After hours, please call the emergency hotline!
